The course: provides students with the relevant knowledge, understanding and skills to work in educational planning, policy, management and administration in the context of international development; identifies the interconnections between society and the economy, and the implications for educational planning; applies economic principles to educational planning issues; critiques the ways in which economic analysis and evidence are applied to education policy issues; understands the strengths and weaknesses of various approaches to educational planning; analyses an educational planning problem in the context of the national economy and its development.
