About this course

This part-time programme examines the foundations of education in modern society, the processes of human learning, education systems in the United Kingdom and the future challenges of education. Students will be given the unique opportunity to specialise in Education Studies; Childhood and Youth; Education Management and Governance; or Lifelong Learning. It provides route to gaining a degree that fits around your lifestyle, the opportunity to exit the programme at relevant points with Undergraduate Certificate at end of Year 2, Diploma of Higher Education at end of Year 4 and BA degree at end of Year 5.

Additional entry requirements

You will normally require 160-200 UCAS tariff points (for example A levels, BTEC, Cache Diploma or similar qualifications undertaken at level three). Your application should also demonstrate experience of, or interest in, working in an educational setting. At interview, you will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to education and undergraduate study.
