Students will study the following topics in year 1: Drawing Techniques and Approaches, Visual Communication, Professional Studies, Historical and Contextual Referencing, Garment Manufacture, Clothing Manufacture Production Operations, Pattern Drafting and Production Techniques. In year 2: Techniques and Processes in Fashion, Fashion and Textiles Understanding, Fashion Promotion, Professional Practice and Development, Realising a Fashion Collection, Research and Development in Fashion Design. Units Taught in Both Years: Visual Communication, Historical and Contextual Referencing, Techniques and Processes, Garment Manufacture.
Students must have BTEC National Diploma or 1 GCE A level or VCE A level, Double award or Access to HE Certificate and GCSE English (Grade C) and GCSE Mathematics (Grade C) or equivalent qualifications.
