About this course

This course is aimed at learners interested in, or new to, working in adult social care in England. Their aim is to introduce knowledge around the following areas relating to working in adult social care: communication, equality, diversity and inclusion, personal development, role of the social care worker, handling information, health and safety, safeguarding, duty of care and person-centred approaches. This course is only available for students of United Kingdom and European Union.

Additional entry requirements

Students should possess standard of literacy and numeracy supported by a general education equivalent to four GCSE’s at Grade A - C to include English Language and Science or a BTEC Level 2 qualification I Health and Social Care or related vocational area, reference is required, either from a current personal tutor and course leader or from recent work.
