Within the Department of Business and Management, all full-time undergraduate business programmes have been designed with a broadly common 1st year experience; therefore, students who successfully complete the 1st year of this economics and law programme, but feel that they would prefer to complete an alternative degree, can transfer to 1 of the other undergraduate business programmes.
Year 1: Management accounting; obligations 1: contract law; criminal law; managing people; economics for business; macroeconomic issues. Year 2: performance management; UK economy; managerial economics; obligations 2: tort; family law; law of European Union. Year 3: European business environment; international economics; strategic management; legal research project or contemporary legal research; property law; law for managers.
