Year 3: Advanced microeconomics; advanced macroeconomics; up to 4 options (includes: comparative economic systems; public economics; monetary economics; labour economics; econometrics; applied economics project; international economics). Geography Year 1: Basic principles and techniques of geographical study; physical geography (includes: geomorphology; hydrology; climate; biogeography); human geography (includes: global patterns of population, settlement, social and political organisation; concepts and methods of economic geography); issues of Third World; cartography; statistical geography. Year 2: Theory and practice of geography; quantitative methods in human or physical geography; either physical core subjects (fluvial geomorphology, climatology, biogeography) or human core subjects (evolution of Third World cities, social geography of the city, industrial geography); special subjects include: ice age legacy, pedology, surveying, cartography, remote sensing, urban services, social planning, USA, Africa, Latin America. Year 3: Theory and practice of geography; special subjects (includes geomorphology and environmental planning; reconstructing past environments; applied climatology; tropical environments; advanced pedology; geographical information systems; advanced cartography; remote sensing applications; industrial development in advanced economics; race relations; regional economic planning and policy; leisure and tourism; development processes in the Third World; populations and migrations; movement in the city; Nile Valley).
