The course: develops students� abilities to apply economics and quantitative research methods to the analysis of educational issues; assesses the benefits and costs of education to individuals and to society, and uses this framework to evaluate education policies in both developing and developed economies; uses quantitative research methods and mixed methods in evaluating specific education policies; gives students the skills they need to appraise critical research in the economics of education and to work on research projects using quantitative and mixed methods.
