Built environment professionals face numerous challenges and opportunities in relation to the changes in practice that are associated with environmental change; this course offers the opportunity to explore and develop practice based research in relation to environmental issues; it is open to those working in the built environment professions of architecture, building and construction, planning, development and engineering, as well as in product, industrial and manufacturing design.
The programme allows practitioners to carry out in-depth research on work based problems, challenges and interests while learning and practicing the doctoral research skills that are required to advance knowledge in the relevant field; the programme content varies depending on the research projects of each candidate, but is always based around the modules.
