The course combines aspects of geology, geography and other areas of science to provide an integrated approach to the investigation of geological and environmental processes, and the interactions between these processes and human activities; graduates develop a wide knowledge of relevant areas of earth science and geography, an understanding of complex natural science subjects and the sociological implications of environmental issues; knowledge and understanding of the lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere is gained through progressively detailed modules from years 1 to 3.
