This is a basic beginners level full-time course for 15-19 year olds who have recently come to live in the UK and for whom English is not their first language. This is the 1st stage of our ESOL PLUS courses. Learners will begin their English studies within topic-based contexts that are relevant to young people. They will develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills so that they can feel confident communicating and responding appropriately in real-life situations. Study skills, Citizenship, numeracy and ICT are all embedded into the course. A varied tutorial and enrichment programme covers issues relevant to young people and includes a number of interesting and challenging day trips and activities.
