In this course, students will gain a broad experience of performing and develop a range of skills needed to pursue a career in the performing arts. The mandatory units: performance workshop, performing arts business, the historical context of performance, rehearsing for performance, performing to an audience, principles of acting. On successful completion of this course they could progress onto HND or degree courses in performing arts at university and could also find employment in the performing arts industry.
Students must have four GCSEs at grade C or equivalent e.g. BTEC First Performing Arts and attend an audition and interview.
