This course equips e-learning tutors with skills to design the curriculum and achieve learning goals using a wide variety of delivery formats and media; students learn to: develop online course material using virtual curriculum and systems design tools; design learner-centred communities of practice to support collaborative student interactions; facilitate online learning using effective multimedia imaging and advanced web design tools; develop programming abilities to aid teaching and learning curriculum and systems design; establish course planning procedures for the benefit of course delivery and online assessment; create virtual courses using managed learning environments; course uses web-based courseware, discussion groups, live virtual classes, video and audio, web chat, simulations and e-mentoring.

Training and teaching, particularly the tutorials and assignment work was very ill prepared. The examples used appear to have been lifted, almost verbatim from the Deitel & Deitel hand books for their .Net and Java "Teach Yourself" series...more
