Founded in 1832, Durham is a world-class university in two exciting locations. Durham City is dominated by the world famous castle and cathedral and Queen's Campus, Stockton is a modern waterfront campus located in Stockton-on-Tees. The University’s unique collegiate structure provides a home-from-home in a supportive environment with a range of accommodation as well as sports, arts and social facilities.

Combining personal development with academic excellence produces one of the best completion rates in the country with around 96% of our students completing their courses. Our teaching is research-led, meaning that lecturers are acknowledged leaders and experts in their fields. In fact, 85 per cent of our research active staff are carrying out research rated as ‘internationally excellent’.
