If you have a keen interest in all aspects of theatre, including performance and written scripts, you’ll enjoy this course. It combines both practical and theory and will involve taking part in drama productions, as well as studying plays and playwrights. Exploration of Drama and Theatre’ introduces you to the content of plays, how to analyse them and evaluate a live performance, while ‘Theatre Text in Performance’ gives you the chance to demonstrate your skills in a performance. ‘Exploration of Dramatic Performance’ enables you to create a unique piece of theatre, and ‘Theatre Text in Context’ requires that you study a set play text and a historical period of theatrical development. You’ll need good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a group.
