Doncaster College Overview
The University Centre at the High Melton Campus of Doncaster College was designated in August 2004. It came about as a consequence of a partnership arrangement with the University of Hull. The hope was to be able to provide a convenient local opportunity for those wishing to continue their education at degree and higher degree level.
With help from the University of Hull, the progressive development of higher education opportunities will continue. and it is intended that this will develop to a point when application for “Taught Degree Awarding Powers” recognition can be made, thus enabling the University Centre to award its own degrees. Such progress would provide a further important milestone towards Doncaster’s long held aspiration to have a University of its own.
The College’s undergraduate programmes are skillfully designed to meet the academic and vocational requirements of students. This, coupled with regular professional awards, prizes and a reputation for individual attention to students’ academic and pastoral needs, justifies the College’s reputation for excellence.
