The course consists of both written and practical areas of hairdressing. Units willl cover all basic areas of hairdressing. You will learn techniques to increase knowledge and skills when cutting, blow drying, style and dress hair, perming and colouring. You will be shown how to create styles suitables for individuals, considering hair type, texture and face shapes. Your IT skills will be developed enabling you to present your assignment work more creatively and clearly. The Academy has a policy that all students must wear their uniform when in College and bring hairdressing kits to all salon sessions. Order forms are available from the Academy. Prices for complete uniforms are approx £57.00 plus p&p. Polo shirts are approx £15.00. Price for hairdressing kits TBA. A Hairdressing uniform and kit is required for this course.
