This course is ideal for students who would like to operate at supervisory level at work. They will study the following main units: portable power tools, wood-working machines, erection of stairs, ironmongery, complex roof structures, planning and organisation, monitoring control, evaluation of activities, complex doors. On successful completion of this course they could progress onto higher level courses like a level 4 qualification HNC/HND. They could also find employment in supervisory or management positions or become self employed.
Students must have gained a level 2 diploma or NVQ 2 carpentry and joinery and/or have had several years experience as a Carpenter and joiner.
