Designer Courses offer a unique programme of hands-on training in contemporary craft and design. Designer Courses are based at Cockpit Arts in Holborn. Cockpit Arts is a central London design studio complex and home to a dynamic community of over 100 established designers and makers, many of whom provide tuition for Designer Courses workshops.

Our tutors are all professional designers - highly successful practitioners and innovators - who sell their work internationally, are in touch with current trends, and involved in the latest material and technical developments. Our emphasis is on practical skills and design training, and our teaching style is aimed at encouraging students to experiment with materials and develop their ideas at their own pace. Class sizes are kept deliberately small (maximum 10 people) in order to allow time for individual attention from the tutors.
