Programme provides training in the design of modern machinery in a teaching and research environment; emphasis is placed on a creative and imaginative approach to design, balanced against a companys requirement for profitable manufacture, quality assurance and global marketability; the course comprises a lecture programme and a dissertation; the course aims to provide: adequate knowledge to design a wide range of machines; the ability to mathematically model a range of components and machine assemblies; the ability to deal with a variety of engineering problems.

Entry Requirements
1st or 2nd Class UK Honours degree, or equivalent in engineering applied science or mathematics.
