Course Description
This course aims to prepare participants for postgraduate study and develop personal and professional confidence. The course places importance on the investigation of process that informs final practical outcomes. The Graduate Certificate Design for Visual Communication has three components, they are strategies for visual research, design application, electives, project proposal, research methods and research in practice. These units run concurrently to achieve an integrated approach to their learning and to avoid the notion that research and application are aspects of design that are experienced in isolation. Strategies for Visual Research introduces participants to the key methods of investigating subject matter employed at postgraduate level.
