Course Description
This course offers a unique curriculum that provides the opportunity to explore interior textiles using innovative and interdisciplinary techniques. You have the opportunity to study a range of modules that promote individual creativity centred on design for floor coverings and interior textiles and products. A strong emphasis is placed on visual research, aesthetic and design translation, underpinned by the skill and knowledge required to develop interior textiles and products. In your third year, you will be given the opportunity to take a work placement where you can put your skills to the test in the real world while forging important links with potential employers. Available modules include: Design for Interior Textiles 3 - Carpet Design; Experimental Textiles for Interior Products; Introduction to Surface Pattern - Repeats; Technical Design Development for Interior Textiles, Live Project - CAD; Visual Research for Interior Textiles.
