This 3-year dental degree programme is designed specifically for a very limited number of qualified doctors wishing to pursue a career in either oral and maxillofacial surgery or oral medicine/pathology; students admitted to this programme are exempt from the first 2 years of the standard 5-year programme on the basis of their previous studies; students undertake a 2 to 3-week preparatory course before joining year 3 of the 5-year BDS programme; there is additional information about selection for this programme under the �applying' tab.
