This course provides students an introduction to the practical and theoretical elements of dance. They will cover units: understanding dance, contemporary dance and the performing arts business. They will also choose some specialist units and complete a final major dance project using their dance studios. After completion, students will progress on to further study, such as the National Diploma in Performing Arts, National Diploma in Dance, or A Level Drama.
Students must possess 2 or more GCSEs at grade D or above including English, Foundation GNVQ or NVQ Level 1.
