This course covers creative entrepreneurship, cultural policy and management, regeneration and cultural development; students receive a grounding in research methods and an analytical framework for a theoretical understanding of the cultural and creative industries, cultural policy and development; students examine cultural policy and how its impacts might be measured, or how cultural and creative industries are now linked to issues of globalisation and international development; applicants may also study creative processes, or learn about creative labour 1st hand from practitioners, businesses and cultural organizations; a large scale research project allows students to develop these insights in a way tailored to their own interests and experiences.
