This course recognizes how knowledge is acquired outside of schools through 'cultural' spaces and informal settings, including libraries, museums and community centres; it is aimed at professionals working in schools libraries, museums, heritage organizations, local authority and community projects and the third sector.
The first year has three compulsory modules; connecting histories: an introduction to cultural learning, working across languages, cultures and disabilities and race equality diversity; the second year students have a choice of modules within the school and can choose other modules drawn from a menu offered by the University which address Cultural learning from different perspectives.
