Croydon Adult Learning and Training (CALAT) is the sixth largest adult education service in the country with a vast part-time choice of courses. The service is committed to adult learning and training and has over fifty years’ experience of creating a focused environment that supports and helps people achieve their goals.

CALAT is a vibrant service specialising in providing courses, training and support services for businesses and individuals wanting to improve or change their life options, as well as services for those who wish to engage in learning on a social basis. Our key aims are to develop the skills and abilities of adults by providing a wide range of accessible learning opportunities and offering scope for personal and social development.

What's on offer

We offer 1,600 part-time courses to 16,000 people every year, reaching a wide variety of people, from business professionals to housewives, and teenagers to pensioners. The service delivers learning opportunities in many different venues across the London Borough of Croydon, ensuring that learning opportunities are accessible and meet the needs of specific groups of learners. Flexible learning centres have been developed across three sites and all have ICT networked facilities and internet links.
