It covers units that include work related experience in countryside and environment; countryside and environment industry and organisations; practical land-based skills; ecological surveys, techniques and records; ecology of trees, woods and forests and practical forestry skills.
Participants must have one grade C and two grades at D GCSE, including maths, English and science.
