Course Description
This course is based on the premise that counsellors need practical skills and a space where personal, academic and professional interests can be pursued. Good basic knowledge of theory will be offered. The emphasis will be on a client-centred approach, drawing also on material from humanist, psychoanalytic and behavioural theories of counselling and psychotherapy. It will aim to link theory and practice by drawing upon students personal experience, promote the personal growth and self-awareness essential for counsellors to be successful, enhance listening skills, establish a basis for the further study of counselling.

£200; £60 registration fee; £30 interview fee

Assessment method
Students will be assessed through coursework.
