Course Description
This course is designed for those who have completed the CSKL2 Certificate in Counselling Skills and who wish to continue development of counselling skills. This qualification is for learners who want to develop advanced counselling skills for professional helping relationships. Trainees will probably be working in a helping capacity in a range of contexts. These may, for example, include personnel officers, care workers, welfare workers, teachers or pastoral care workers. On this course you will increase your proficiency in using counselling skills in helping relationships and further develop your use of counselling skills as an important element of helping work. You will need to produce a robust portfolio of evidence which requires meticulous organisational skills and a GCSE level C or above in English or its equivalent and commit to at least 2 hours private study each week. Entry is based on you having successfully completed the Certificate in Counselling Skills course or its equivalent, and passing an assessment and interview.
