This course seeks to improve students academic profile in the competitive area of law with a postgraduate qualification; to enable them to become specialists in corporate law to obtain a single LLM award, or select modules from a number of subject areas to gain either a joint or Major/Minor LLM award that suits their interests; allow them to examine contemporary subjects such as intellectual property and employment law as they affect corporate structures, along with traditional areas such as insolvency law; help them to gain a strong understanding of corporate law within a European context; gain an awareness of the wider economic and social factors which influence corporate institutions; and to attend a European summer school and gain valuable experience of European and international law in practice.
Subject areas: competition; corporate; criminal justice; employment; Europe and the law; health law; human rights; insolvency law; intellectual property; international criminal justice; international trade; sports law; dissertation.
