Students will develop the skills required to manage and co-ordinate the many diverse activities required in the development and maintenance of property, from a client�s or contractor�s perspective; modules cover all areas of the building process, from design, procurement and building surveying to project and construction management; students will learn to manage the complete process, from the identification of development opportunities through to their completion, utilisation, maintenance and future redevelopment.
Year 1: architectural science and building engineering services; construction technology, measurement and cost; law and health and safety; practice in the workplace. Year 2: economics and business law in construction; construction technology; conversion and adaptation of buildings. Year 3: project; contract administration; control and finance; construction management, practice and procedures. Year 4: building diagnostics; organisational management; sustainable technology and intelligent buildings. Year 5: dissertation; facilities management and maintenance.
