This programme gives equal weight to theory and comparative case studies.
2 compulsory modules: Introduction to the history, theory and the politics of constitutional law; constitutional law and practice: regional perspectives; 4 option modules, one of which may be a specialist dissertation; students may also choose to attend a week-long intensive course on comparative perspectives in term 3 as 1 option module requires daytime attendance over a week; other options may include: futures: the globalisation of human rights; international rights of minorities; social justice; human rights in Britain; crime and control; post-apartheid jurisprudence; dissertation.
