This course is designed to meet an increasing need in conservation and wildlife management for trained graduate ecologists. It provides academic knowledge grounded in field experience plus competent species identification skills. Taking a scientific approach to natural resource management and conservation, the programme has centred on applied ecological science. Students will develop the ecological expertise to enable them to solve conservation problems in the field, to be able to design management plans, and to effectively implement them. It covers biological and ecological science, conservation, wildlife and habitat management, wildlife legislation and planning, IT skills and data analysis, fundamentals of finance, employment and personnel management.
