This course offers a strong, sector-related emphasis on practical skills development alongside the development of requisite knowledge and understanding. It provides a thorough grounding in the key concepts and practical skills required in the Computing and IT sector. Students who have successfully completed the HNC in Computing may progress onto the HND. The course consists of the following mandatory units: Business Skills for e-Commerce, Computer Systems, Employability and Professional Development, Project Design, Implementation and Evaluation.
If you have recently been in education, one of the following qualifications is required:: BTEC Level 3 qualification in business, a GCE Advanced level profile which demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject or an adequate performance in more than one GCE subject. This profile is likely to be supported by GCSE grades at A to C, other related level 3 qualifications an Access to Higher Education Certificate awarded by an approved further education institution and related work experience.
