On this course students gain a solid understanding of the theory, practice and applications of computing and information systems and how they function in a continuously changing environment within a variety of businesses and other organisations.
Year 1: Analysing information systems; computer systems fundamentals; information and numerical analysis; introduction to internet technology; negotiated work and project based learning; professional and problem solving skills; software development. Year 2: Database design and management; internet technologies; negotiated work and project based learning; network management; object oriented modelling; professional IT; user requirements specification.
