Course Description
This course covers topics ranging from computer networking principles to network system administration and systems security. There is a strong emphasis on practical work to reinforce the theory including network programming in Java, use of a leading network simulator and hands-on administration of real devices. The course is part of our advanced master's programme in Computer Science.
Course Fees
Fees for 2008/09 are likely to rise by approximately 5%, from the foregoing 2007/08 fees quoted: taught & research full-time £4500 & part-time £375 (per 15 credit taught module); part-time research £1230; Professional doctorates will ordinarily charged at the above mentioned research rates, whilst DMan will cost £10000. You are advised to check with the Provider, concerning individual course fees.

Entry Requirements
Applicant should have a recent, good bachelor's degree (e.g. honours degree from the UK) or equivalent in Computer Science or similar subject. Applicants who do not wholly meet these requirements, but who are considered to have the professional experience, motivation or potential to succeed at the programme, may also be accepted.
