Course Description
Research topics are available in a wide range of topics and combination of topics across the departments and schools in the Faculties of Earth and Environment, Engineering and Mathematics and Physical Sciences. Research activities include: medical applications; multi-phase modelling; fuel cells & combustion modelling; airflow over mountains; cirrus cloud modelling; inverse problems & evolutionary algorithms; & adaptive numerical methods, amongst others.
Course Fees
Fees for 2008/09: £3240, except for MBA: £16500 & Business School MSc/MAs, which vary between £3240-7500. These fees are provisional, please check details when making your application. For further information, regarding fees or funding, please contact the provider. Self-supporting students may pay in two instalments - 50% being payable upon registration & the second by direct debit, from a UK Bank five months after the course start date.

Entry Requirements
We would normally expect applicants for postgraduate research to have achieved one of the following in a subject relevant to the proposed research: a first or good upper second class honours degree (or equivalent from an overseas University), or good performance in a Masters level course. We also recognise relevant industrial and academic experience and special circumstances in the consideration of applicants. Oversees students whose first language is not English, generally require TOEFL 550(220 computer based)/IELTS 6.0 -7.0 scores. Further information can be obtained from the provider.
