Course Description
Colour Application Technology is a part-time, work-based programme designed for people working in the colour-using industry. It operates on a modular basis, allowing the programme to be tailored to meet the student's needs, with each module involving a short residential course at the University of Leeds. Students will study eight modules selected from: Advanced Colour Science; Instrumental Analysis and Characterisation of Materials; Advanced Polymer and Materials Science; Experimental Design and Data Analysis; Appearance, Measurement and Reproduction of multi-coloured Images; Optical Properties of coloured materials; Printing Inks Formulation and Application Processes; Surface Coatings Formulation and Application Processes; Dispersion Science and Technology; Dye and Pigment properties and Applications.
Course Fees
Fees for 2008/09: £3240, except for MBA: £16500 & Business School MSc/MAs, which vary between £3240-7500. These fees are provisional, please check details when making your application. For further information, regarding fees or funding, please contact the provider. Self-supporting students may pay in two instalments - 50% being payable upon registration & the second by direct debit, from a UK Bank five months after the course start date.

Entry Requirements
Honours degree or equivalent in science related subjects such as computing, physics, mathematics, chemistry, materials science, electrical engineering, electronics, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, textiles and graphic art. Industrial experience can be taken into account. Oversees students whose first language is not English, generally require TOEFL 550(220 computer based)/IELTS 6.0 -7.0 scores.
