This course is for people involved in mentoring and coaching; they may be: mentors or coaches; scheme designers and evaluators; independent consultants; senior managers interested in developing their skills or those of their employees; this course gives students opportunities to add and improve skills as well as engaging with the latest thinking in mentoring and coaching research.
Students complete 4 modules (at least 2 of which are specialist modules) for the PG Cert, 8 modules for the PG Dip and 8 modules plus a dissertation for the MSC; modules include: Coaching and mentoring and leadership; coaching and mentoring scheme design and evaluation; coaching and mentoring skills and techniques; coaching and mentoring supervision; the psychology and practice of coaching and mentoring; consultancy theory and practice; developing strategies for change; research methods.
