This course aims to enable participants to explore materials, techniques and equipment to develop skills, to develop creative ideas and to produce and evaluate finished items. By the end of the course participants will be able to have a basic knowledge of primary and secondary colours, choose fabrics, interfacings and haberdashery that are compatible, know how to prepare and use technical terms for planning, evaluation and record keeping and know how to prepare and use commercial patterns or produce their own simple patterns by using measurements.
