Students apply clinical kinaesiology to the research theme rehabilitation and recovery; the research centre for clinical kinaesiology (rcck) is a movement analysis laboratory using biomechanical and exercise physiology techniques, which provides research evidence to inform rehabilitation practice; current work involves: biomechanics of lower limb complications due to diabetic neuropathy, rehabilitation of joint instability after knee and ankle injury, the effect of exercise on osteoarthritis, low back pain and proprioception, quantitative assessment of functional weakness in neurological patients, and measurement of walking mobility in neurology patients.
