If you want to develop your creative skills and knowledge to an advanced level in Hairdressing, then this is the course for you. It is designed to develop your existing hairdressing skills and knowledge to an advanced level. In reference to the topics listed above, you will be carrying out skills learnt with more creative, individualised and high fashion techniques to suit the clients. You will also study aspects of working within the hairdressing industry to enable you to appreciate work ethics, (minimal) employment law and performance reviews to improve your personal development etc. You will also cover areas related to the effective running of a salon from a business perspective.
NVQ or VRQ Hairdressing qualifications at Level 2 are important, but work experience is also acceptable. Applicants are assessed for essential skills before enrolling. Students must purchase a small hairdressing kit, costing approximately �40.00 and uniforms, costing approximately �18.00. Students should enjoy working with people and good communication skills are vital.
