This programme meets the government�s �every child matters� agenda that underpins all work with children across a variety of different professions; it is also designed to meet demands for expertise in children�s physical education at a primary level and to address the current health concerns surrounding a lack of physical activity; the programme is designed to provide students with opportunities to explore, examine and evaluate the context of childhood from a variety of perspectives including educational, health-based, physiological, psychological, sociological, cultural, welfare, legal, political, economic, philosophical and historical.
