Research is organised into 2 broad themes: biomolecular chemistry (covering medicinal chemistry, biodiscovery, environmental chemistry and speciation and biomaterials) and materials chemistry (covering biomaterials, catalysis and photocatalysis, functional materials, and construction materials and remediation); these 2 themes are not exclusive; staff work in both themes, and both are supported by activities in computational chemistry.
