About this course

This course will teach students the basic laboratory skills and give them a thorough grounding in the subject to stimulate their interest to discover more. It covers units: structure, bonding common main group chemistry, introductory organic chemistry, energetic, kinetics, equilibrium and applications and laboratory chemistry - a test of basic laboratory skills assessed through an externally marked practical assessment paper.

Additional entry requirements

Students must have any one of the following: five GCSEs at grade C or above including English and Maths, they will need to have achieved high grades in their science GCSEs or equivalent qualifications or relevant work experience.
