Course Description
The common objective of our research is to harness fundamental technological and scientific research to facilitate the transition towards a sustainable energy economy. Our aims are to improve fuel handling, fuel conversion and combustion methods, to increase energy conversion efficiency and minimise pollution and safety hazards in processes involving power generation and energy supply.

Entry Requirements
The College looks for the Master's degree as a pre-requisite for research degree study, although exceptional candidates holding the Bachelor's degree only may be considered. A candidate might be required to satisfy qualifying conditions before being allowed to register. All research students are registered for the degree of MPhil in the first instance. After at least a year and after passing a transfer examination, a research student may be transferred to the degree of PhD, with the date of PhD registration being backdated to the date of initial registration for the MPhil.
