This course is designed for participants who have recently entered a work role that can best be described as the Associate Teacher or Trainer role. It covers units which include: preparing to teach in the lifelong learning sector, planning and enabling learning, principles and practice of assessment, preparing for the coaching role and preparing for the mentoring role.
Participants should have completed PTLLS Award at Level 3 or 4, access to at least 30 teaching hours and City and Guilds 7302, 7307 at stage1, 7306, 7331 or 7318.

I found the course really interesting. No prior knowledge is really needed although I'd say Geography GCSE would be an advantage. One teacher called Andy had a very good way of explaining things and made the lessons more enjoyable....more
