We are one of the first colleges to be awarded Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) Status for our Childcare and Early Years courses. These are delivered in our new Childcare and Early Years building which is dedicated to facilitating an excellent learning environment for students and staff.
We have also been awarded a second CoVE in Electro-Technical for our Engineering Academy. We have been providing education and training for over 50 years and we are the only Further Education College in Sutton - with specialist facilities and equipment that schools are not able to provide. Apprenticeships
These are government-funded programmes where you work, earn and train at the same time for a nationally recognised qualification. As the largest provider of apprenticeships in the South London region, Carshalton College has a proven structured curriculum that has benefited both students and employers. We offer apprenticeships in the following subjects:
- Electrical Installation (Level 3)
- Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (Level 2 & Level 3)
- Childcare, Learning & Development (Level 2 & Level 3)
- Hairdressing (Level 2)

Learning Centre - Houses a wide range of books, newspapers, journals, CD-Roms, videos and audiocassettes and multimedia PCs for drop-in use.
Music Technology Suite - Top of the range Art and media Technology suite kitted out with all the latest equipment.
Renaissance - Both our hair and beauty salons have recently been refurbished. They offer a relaxed yet professional and stylish learning environment.
Nightingales - Our newly refurbished training restaurant is well known for serving high quality three course meals for exceptionally good value.
