Those who have completed the Construction Diploma - Bench Joinery Level 2 and who wish to further their skills and abilities in Bench Joinery to craftsman level. The course focuses on practical activity but includes some written theory and portfolio building, consists of the following units: CC 1001K Know how to carry out safe working practices in construction CC 1001S Carry out safe working practices in construction CC 3002K Knowledge of information, quantities and communicating with others 3 CC 3002S Information, quantities and communicating with others 3 CC 3003K Knowledge of building methods and construction technology 3 CC 3003S Building methods and construction technology 3 CC 3030K Know how to set up and use fixed and transportable machinery CC 3030S Set up and use fixed and transportable machinery CC 3031K Know how to manufacture complex shaped joinery products CC 3031S Manufacture complex shaped joinery products CC 3032K Know how to produce complex shaped joinery product details CC 3032S Produce complex shaped joinery product details At this advanced level, working in our simulated workshop environment, you will learn a wide variety of practical skills (and theoretical knowledge) which will enable you to carry out complex operations in a Joinery workshop and prepare you for entry to Workshop Management. Areas to cover include curved work including frames and staircases, boxed frame windows, spandrel panelling and units and fitments. There will be a number of theory assessments with a final practical assignment to complete the qualification. You will also be expected to undertake Functional Skills at an appropriate level.
