This course will help participants to improve their management skills and gain knowledge of line management. It covers units that include personal development as first line manager-6 credits, resource planning-6 credits, meeting stakeholder needs-6 credits, managing and communicating information-6 credits, developing individuals and teams-6 credits, recruitment and selection-6 credits, maintaining quality standards-6 credits, improving team performance-7 credits, management communication-6 credits and being a leader-6 credits. Participants need to complete any combination of units to a minimum of 6 credits to achieve the Award and 13 credits to achieve the Certificate. For the diploma they must complete units 3001, 3002, 3003, 3004 and 3005 plus any other two units to a total of at least 42 credits.
Participants should be working as a first line manager or thinking of becoming one.
